RCGA’S RIGGS A “RISING STAR”
Kevin Riggs, the RCGA’s director of Illinois government affairs,
has been selected as one of 20 “Rising Stars of Southwestern
Illinois” by the Illinois Business Journal in its July
issue. The distinction recognizes a class of young professionals
(age 39 and under) who live in Southwestern Illinois and are
leaders in the region, contributing in innovative ways through
either their professional or charitable work.
THE LAWRENCE GROUP RECOGNIZED AS ONE
OF FASTEST GROWING U.S. ARCHITECTURE FIRMS
The Lawrence Group was named the fifth fastest growing architecture
firm in the nation, according to the May 2007 issue of ARCHITECT
Magazine. The study, conducted by industry research company
ZweigWhite, ranks firms with gross revenues of $1 million or
more in 2002. The results are based on growth from 2002 through
2005 with equal weight placed on dollar and percentage growth.

THE BEST BY FORBES.COM, WALL STREET JOURNAL
Six equity research analysts from A.G. Edwards have earned a
place among the best brokerage analysts in the country, according
to a list published by Forbes.com in conjunction with San Francisco-based
research firm StarMine. The annual Analyst Awards highlight
the top three earnings estimators and the top three stock pickers
in various industries.
Among the top earnings estimators, A.G. Edwards’ Timothy Conder
ranked No. 2 in leisure equipment & products; Neil Kalton ranked
No. 2 in electric utilities; Christopher Growe ranked No. 2
in food products; and Jeffrey Randall claimed the No. 3 spot
in real estate investment trusts.
Analysts lauded for their stock picks included Daniel Fidell,
who ranked No. 2 in gas utilities, and dual award-winner Michael
Heim, who ranked No. 3 in both gas utilities and oil, gas and
consumable fuels.
Research analysts Gary W. Mobley, Ronald F. Londe and Daniel
M. Fidell were named to The Wall Street Journal’s best
on the Street list, an annual survey that recognizes the best
stock pickers from across the country. The survey focused on
45 industry groups thought to be of particular interest to investors
and sought to identify the top five analysts within each industry
based solely on stock-picking skill.

FOR INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
CIO magazine has chosen UniGroup Inc. as a recipient of the
2007 CIO 100. The annual awards recognize organizations around
the world that demonstrate innovation and excellence in information

BRYAN CAVE EARNS HIGH MARKS FROM LEGAL
500 AND CORPORATE BOARD MEMBER
Law firm Bryan Cave LLP has been mentioned in two national publications
for the quality of its legal work in the St. Louis area and
across the country. The firm received favorable rankings in
two product liability categories in The Legal 500 US, Vol.
III: Litigation, a guide to the leading law firms and lawyers
in the United States. Bryan Cave earned excellent reviews in
both the aerospace/aviation and automotive/transport product
liability and mass tort defense areas. The Legal 500 is regarded
as a leading referral guide for buyers of legal services around

In Corporate Board Member magazine, Bryan Cave has been
named the best corporate law firm in St. Louis (tied with Armstrong
Teasdale) for the sixth consecutive year. The firm also ranked
No. 4 in the Phoenix market. Results of the magazine’s annual
legal research study were published in the July/August cover
story, “America’s Best Corporate Law Firms.” The magazine surveyed
nearly 1,000 directors of public corporations to find out which
law firms they most admire in 25 metropolitan areas.
CORPORATE COUNSEL SURVEY NAMES
LATHROP & GAGE A “GO-TO” LAW FIRM
Law firm Lathrop & Gage LC has been named on Corporate Counsel
magazine’s Go-To Law Firm® survey, a compilation of law firms
preferred by the 500 largest companies in the United States.
Both Deere & Company and Yellow Roadway Corporation named Lathrop
& Gage a “go-to” firm in the areas of labor and employment and
litigation, while Longs Drug Store Corporation chose the firm
in the intellectual property category.
Less than one percent of all law firms in the United States
were selected for the list. The magazine surveyed general counsel
from Fortune 500 companies and asked them to identify the outside
law firms that they turn to when they need results. The list
was published in a special section of the May 14 issue of FORTUNE
magazine.
