Brigadier General Sheila Baxter is the Commanding General at the
Madigan Medical Center and Western Regional Medical Command in
Washington State, and the first female general named to the Medical
Service Corps. She holds an M.A. in Health Services Management
from Webster University’s Ft. Sam Houston campus. At Madigan Medical
Center, she is responsible for the care of military patients from
six surrounding states and for soldiers returning from deployment.
Among her awards, decorations and badges are the Legion of Merit,
the Bronze Star, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation
Medal and the Army Achievement Medal.
