2001 St. Louis Regional
Fast 50 Technology awards
|
The fastest
growing technology companies are recognized through this unique
awards program.
By Liese L. Hutchison
It’s the sixth year for the St. Louis Regional FAST 50 Technology
Awards and the companies represented below work in every aspect
of technology for every imaginable industry and organization. From
billion dollar publicly held companies to million dollar privately
held companies, all are represented on the FAST 50. More than 20
newcomers join the list this year along with many repeat winners,
most notably, three six-time winners—Cornerstone Solutions Group,
G.A. Sullivan and The Mattson Jack Group. A record-number of women-owned
and minority-owned companies is also represented. This is the strength
of the region’s technology companies—the diversity in size, services
and ownership provides a solid network of technology expertise rivaled
only in Silicon Valley or the Research Triangle.
“When we launched the FAST 50 with Deloitte & Touche we suspected
the region was rich in technology firms,” says Dick Fleming, president
and CEO, St. Louis RCGA. “This program has confirmed and solidified
the industry to our region and to the nation.” Corporate sponsors
of this year’s award, which is presented by Deloitte & Touche and
the St. Louis RCGA, are: Armstrong Teasdale LLP and Southwest Bank,
with media sponsors KMOX News/Talk 1120, KSDK, St. Louis Business
Journal, St. Louis Commerce Magazine and the St. Louis
Science Center.
Listed below in alphabetical order are the 2001 St. Louis Regional
FAST 50 Technology Award winners. On Sept. 20, the 50 will learn
their ranking, in terms of revenue growth from 1996 to 2000, at
the awards dinner at the St. Louis Science Center.
