Andrew Lauter knows that hearing is certainly not equivalent to listening. And it is careful listening that has, in large part, enabled Lauter and his company, PSC Group LLC, to be where it is today.
Where is it exactly? Well, expanding into the St. Louis market, for one. This fifteen-year-old consult-ing firm with the motto “It’s all in the way we listen” and the web address psclistens.com, opened its Chesterfield office last March.
Headquartered in Schaumburg, Ill., PSC is a business solutions and technology services consulting firm that focuses on helping companies throughout the Midwest solve
business technology and infrastructure problems. The expansion into St. Louis makes this PSC’s fifth office in four states. This summer, the Kansas City office was named a Top Area Management Consulting Firm by the Kansas City Business Journal for the fourth year in a row. In addition, PSC has offices in Minneapolis and Peoria.
“We help companies who are facing the challenges of change, by listening and understanding what is going on in their environment, rather than having some preconceived solution,” says Lauter.
We are really focused on making businesses better, not on doing technology for the sake of technology. We really look hard at the whole organization.”
PSC specializes in the manufacturing, distribution, financial services, and healthcare mid-market enterprises, which, of course, makes St. Louis a nice match.
“St. Louis fits very well into the mixture of our other offices,” says Lauter. “We had some experience in the area and it seemed like the right place to go.
“Our plan is to continue to expand and to provide full business-based IT solutions for the
St. Louis region.”
PSC, a 2005 IBM Lotus Software winner, provides its clients with access to current product information, technical support, advanced training programs, and future trends.
PSC has partnerships with many of the IT industry’s leading firms and software providers. The company also maintains active membership in organizations that develop new processes and business models which help boost productivity and return on investment.
