More Than
200 Tech Gateway Members Visit the Stars
Technology Gateway organizes four Tech Tours a year, providing an
opportunity to tour interesting technology-related “hot spots” in
the St. Louis region as well as networking opportunities and a way
to get involved. The next Tech Tour will take place Oct. 25 from
5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Chuck F. Knight Executive Education Center
at Washington University.
The most recent Tech Tour took place on the evening of July 25,
at the recently renovated James S. McDonnell Planetarium Building,
one of the nation’s leading space education facilities, focusing
on astronomy, space sciences and aviation. More than 200 people
enjoyed guided tours, which included a space station encounter and
a night sky filled with more than 9,000 stars created by the Zeiss
Universarium Planetarium Model IX, one of only four such projectors
in the world.
Other Tech Tour events have included The Nidus Center for Scientific
Enterprise, a Laclede’s Landing walking tour of Access US and StudioSix12;
Metaphase Design Group in Clayton; and the St. Louis Enterprise
Center’s West County location in Chesterfield. Visit Technology
Gateway’s website, www.technologygateway.org. |
