Many of the region's top business and civic leaders who were
recruited to take positions in St. Louis, got the real introduction
to the region through Focus St. Louis. The likes of Dick Fleming,
chairman & CEO of the RCGA, Tony Hooper, chairman and CEO of
Insituform, Bill Poole, chairman of the Federal Reserve, Larry
Katzen, managing partner at Arthur Andersen and Tom Jacobsen,
chairman of Firstar Corporation, all participated in Experience
St. Louis when they first moved to the region.
Focus St. Louis in partnership with the RCGA is offering the
next program on October 5, 12, 19, 26 and 28. In its 16th year,
Experience St. Louis provides an intensive, meaningful introduction
to the region, its critical issues and its key players. The
program consists of four evening sessions, which include cocktails,
featured speakers, and dinner at some of St. Louis' most fun
and fascinating locations, like the Saint Louis Zoo and the
Federal Reserve Bank of Missouri. Sessions cover: "History,
Power and Politics," the "St. Louis Regional Economy," "Major
Issues Facing the Region," and "Recreation, Culture and Entertainment."
The program concludes with a tour of sights and sounds of St.
Louis.
Experience St. Louis also provides a wonderful chance to speak
with community leaders and network with other newcomers. Many
of the executives and spouses who have gone through this program
were able to cultivate long-lasting friendships and relationships
important for their businesses.
The cost of the program is $800 for an executive and $1,400
for both an executive and spouse. For more information, call
