JOHNSEN TO BECOME CEO AT ST. JOSEPH’S
MERCY
Timothy J. Johnsen will become president and CEO of St. Joseph’s
Mercy Health Center on Jan. 1, 2008, following the planned retirement
of current CEO Randall J. Fale at the end of this year. Johnsen
has served as executive vice president and chief operating officer
at the health center since September 2006.
HOOPER JOINS ARGENT CAPITAL MANAGEMENT
Ron Hooper has joined Argent Capital Management LLC as a senior
trader. Prior to joining Argent, Hooper served as vice president
and trading manager at First Chicago National Bank of Detroit
(now JP Morgan Chase) as well as vice president and senior equity
trader at Bank of America in St. Louis.
TOCCO JOINS HEARTLAND BANK’S CORPORATE
OFFICE
Patricia Tocco has joined Heartland Bank as senior vice president
of accounting and finance. She most recently served as vice
president and controller of Trust Company of America/TC Advisors
Network and vice president of finance for both Bankers Title/BT
Escrow Company and Flatiron Credit Company.

LORENZINI ELECTED TO ST. ANTHONY’S MEDICAL
CENTER BOARD
Paul G. Lorenzini recently has been elected to a three-year
term on the board of directors at St. Anthony’s Medical Center.
He co-founded Packaging Consultants in 1970, which was acquired
by Bunzl in 1983. Lorenzini served as president and CEO of Bunzl
Distribution Inc., along with being president of Bunzl USA,
and retired from Bunzl in 2004.
AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION ANNOUNCES
NEW BOARD LEADERSHIP
Parker B. Condie Jr. will serve as the 2007–2008 chairperson
of the St. Louis Division Board of Directors for the American
Heart Association. Condie is president of Coin Acceptors Inc.
in St. Louis.
SUN NAMED VICE PRESIDENT AT CANNON DESIGN
Cannon Design has announced that engineer Ruofei Sun has been
appointed vice president. He joined the firm in 2000 and has
17 years of experience in providing professional engineering
services.
MINKLER ELECTED TO AMD’S EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
Robert J. Minkler Jr., a partner in tax services at Anders Minkler
& Diehl LLP, has been elected to the firm’s executive committee.
He joined the firm in 1996 and was admitted as a partner in
2003.
SAVAGE JOINS KETC/CHANNEL 9 AS VICE
PRESIDENT OF DEVELOPMENT
At KETC/Channel 9, Beth Savage has been named vice president
of development. She comes to KETC from the Saint Louis Science
Center where she was director of principal giving.
KETC has also elected five new members to the board of directors
and named four board officers. New board members are Robert
J. Ciapciak, Edward J. Koplar, Ken Kranzberg, Jeffrey M. McDonnell
and Teresa H. Vogt.
The new officers are Dan Burkhardt, chairman; Jack Schreiber,
vice chairman; Jacquelyn Dezort, treasurer; and Eugene Mackey

GATEWAY EDI’S CHELI NOMINATED AS HIMSS
MIDWEST CHAPTER PRESIDENT
Gateway EDI has announced that David M. Cheli, its chief information
officer, has been elected as president of the HIMSS Midwest
Gateway Chapter’s board of directors. He has been involved with
the organization for several years.
JOE BUCK RECEIVES FIRST JACK BUCK NATIONAL
MEDIA PERSON OF THE YEAR AWARD
The Press Club of Metropolitan St. Louis has selected sportscaster
Joe Buck as the first recipient of an award named in his father’s
honor, the Jack Buck National Media Person of the Year Award.
Joe, an Emmy Award-winning baseball and football announcer for
Fox Sports, will receive the award during the Jack Buck National
Media Person of the Year Scholarship Dinner and Gala on Nov.
28 at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel.

R. Hall was elected president of the board of directors for
The Great Rivers Greenway District. He was appointed to the
board in July 2004 and most recently served as secretary.
John M. McGuire, president of St. Charles Community College,
has been appointed to the board as a representative of St. Charles
County and will serve a three-year term.
PARIC REORGANIZES
St. Louis-based Paric Corporation recently announced a major
reorganization that includes a number of executive-level promotions.
Brian Arnold was promoted to executive vice president and will
oversee sales and marketing, preconstruction and estimating,
and the project executives who lead teams to grow the business
and support customer relationships.
Brian Paluch was promoted to senior vice president and CFO,
responsible for the functions of finance and accounting, information
technology, risk management, human resources and legal.
Steve Meeks, Todd Goodrich and Keith Wolkoff were all promoted
to vice presidents. Meeks will be responsible for the overall
field operations, safety, quality, and Interiors and Core and
Shell project management teams.
Goodrich and Wolkoff will support the client and project development
functions.
RHEA JOINS THE BUSINESS BANK OF ST.
LOUIS
Veteran St. Louis banker Paul Rhea has joined The Business Bank
of St. Louis as senior vice president. He previously worked
at U.S. Bank as senior vice president and Midwest regional manager
for private banking.
ENTERPRISE RENT-A-CAR’S STUBBLEFIELD
NAMED PRESIDENT OF VANGUARD CAR RENTAL
Enterprise Rent-A-Car has an-nounced that Greg Stubblefield,
a longtime Enterprise executive, will become president of Vanguard
Car Rental once Enterprise has completed its purchase of Vanguard.
Stubblefield currently serves as president of Enterprise’s operations
in California and Hawaii.
FONTBONNE UNIVERSITY NAMES NEW VICE
PRESIDENT FOR INSTITUTIONAL ADVANCEMENT
Fontbonne University named Marilyn Sheperd its new vice president
for institutional advancement, effective Aug. 1. She most recently
served as associate vice president of development at the University
of Toledo.
BETHESDA HEALTH GROUP ANNOUNCES PERSONNEL
CHANGES
Joseph J. Brinker has been promoted to executive vice president
and chief operating officer of Bethesda Health Group. He began
his career there as assistant administrator of Bethesda General
Hospital. He eventually served as the hospital’s CEO and joined
the corporate management team in 2000 as senior vice president
of long-term care.
Also at Bethesda, Timothy L. Vosse has been promoted to vice
president and director of finance. Thomas E. Miskle has been
promoted to director of Medicare admissions. Tracy D. Thomas
has been named director of private duty services. Jeffrey R.
Waldman has joined as director of marketing.
Jennifer Trudeau and Nicole Hrabosky have joined the organization
as hospice care consultants, and Lisa Sertl has joined as a
Medicare admissions care consultant.
