THERE AND HERE: CARMON COLANGELO, JOAN
HALL, AND PETER MARCUS
COCA presents a printmaking exhibition in the Millstone Gallery.
COCA’s Millstone Gallery is an exhibition of works by three
artists, all known for their non-traditional and innovative
approaches to printmaking. The opening night includes an informal
gallery talk and reception. Colangelo makes mixed media images
that incorporate digital as well as a wide variety of traditional
printmaking processes. Hall is known for her large-scale sculptural
prints that are thickly layered with handmade paper, pulp, printing
ink and collage elements. Marcus is one of the pioneers of large-scale
experimental printmaking creating complex images of patterns
and texture that are inspired by and based on architecture.
Informal gallery talk: Friday, Nov. 9, 5:30 to 6 pm
Opening reception: Friday, Nov. 9, 6 to 8 p.m.
COCA, 524 Trinity Ave., University City
Free and open to the public.
