POLSINELLI SHALTON WELTE SUELTHAUS EXPANDS STAFF

She previously worked as a tax consultant with Price Waterhouse and as general counsel and chief financial officer for a large privately held company.

M. Kathleen O’Blennis and Sally S. Pitlyk have joined the wealth planning group of the business law department. O’Blennis has 20 years of experience in wealth preservation law in California and Missouri. Pitlyk received her law degree from Saint Louis University School of Law. Elizabeth J. Thomas has joined the business law department’s employment and labor law practice group. She earned her law degree from Washington University School of Law.

THE WORK CENTER HIRES NEW MARKETING EXECUTIVE

Greg Fix has joined The Work Center Inc. as vice president of marketing and program development. He brings more than 20 years of experience as a sales and marketing professional in manufacturing, distribution and health care. RBG&CO PROMOTES BEHNEN, HIRES SMITH

Rubin, Brown, Gornstein & Co. LLP has promoted accountant Cathy Behnen to partner in its internal audit services group. She joined the firm in 1997 and has more than 17 years of experience in the financial industry. Previously, Behnen served as group manager of financial accounting and reporting for the aerospace division of Boeing.

Accountant Gregory Smith has joined the firm as a manager in its internal audit group. Smith previously worked as director of finance for Cardinal Health Inc. in Dublin, Ohio.

KOHUT, KARLEN JOIN CANNON DESIGN

Cannon Design has hired architects Fred Kohut and Carl Karlen. Kohut has more than 30 years of experience as an architect, working on a variety of educational, retail, commercial/industrial, housing and municipal projects. Karlen has more than five years of experience in architecture.

BROWN SMITH WALLACE EXPANDS RISK MANAGEMENT TEAM

Kurt Griggs has joined Brown Smith Wallace LLC as a manager in the risk management services practice. He previously worked as an IT audit manager in the corporate audit department at SBC Communications and also served as a principal credit union examiner for the Texas Credit Union Department.

FOCUS ST. LOUIS WELCOMES NEW OFFICERS
AND BOARD MEMBERS



Five officers and four new members have been named to FOCUS St. Louis’ volunteer board, which is composed of 32 individuals who set policy for the organization. The new officers are as follows:

  • Vice president: Mark Miller, vice president of corporate relations, Enterprise Rent-A-Car
  • Vice president: Deborah Patterson, president of Monsanto Fund

  • Treasurer: Bayard Clark, executive vice president and chief financial officer, Commerce Bancshares Inc. The new board members are as follows:

FOCUS St. Louis also welcomes two youth members to the board: Brandon Bander of St. Mary’s High School and Rachel Winston of Ladue Horton Watkins High School.

BOND ELECTED CHAIRWOMAN OF SECURITIES BOARD

Amelia A.J. Bond, senior vice president and director of public finance at A.G. Edwards, has been elected to a one-year term as chairwoman of the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board. She is a 23-year industry veteran who began her career at A.G. Edwards in 1987.

LASHMETT NAMED CIO AT ST. ANTHONY’S

Gordon Lashmett has been appointed chief information officer at St. Anthony’s Medical Center. He previously worked as director of information technology for St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Ill., where he spent the last 10 years.

NEGWER MATERIALS PROMOTES BRENNAN TO GENERAL MANAGER

Tom Brennan has been promoted to general manager for central Illinois at Negwer Materials Inc. Since joining Negwer in 1986, Brennan has worked as a salesman and Illinois sales manager. He previously worked as a salesman for Celotex and Oakite Chemicals.

LEEKER ASSUMES COMMAND



COLONEL ROBERT LEEKER

Colonel Robert Leeker assumed command of the 131st Fighter Wing, in a formal Change of Command ceremony on August 6. Colonel Michael Brandt, the 131st FW’s former commander, was formally assigned as Chief of Staff, Headquarters Missouri Air National Guard on August 7. Colonel Leeker, who began his career as an Airman Basic in the Missouri Air National Guard served in several positions during his 24-year military career and was the unit’s Vice Commander since 1991. The 131st Fighter Wing is a Missouri Air National F-15C Eagle unit, collocated with Lambert –St. Louis International Airport.

NETEFFECTS ANNOUNCES PERSONNEL CHANGES

Stephanie Schroeder has been promoted to vice president of NetEffects, a locally owned contract-staffing firm. Schroeder has been with the firm for seven years and will manage the company’s three branches. NetEffects also has hired Alan Hay as sales manager
and Bridget Riley as receptionist and office manager.

VAUGHAN JOINS PARIC AS PROJECT MANAGER

COUNCIL OF REGENTS


Tony Caleca, a member of Brown Smith Wallace LLC, has been selected to serve on the Fontbonne University Council of Regents. Caleca is a 1992 Fontbonne University graduate who started his career at Brown Smith Wallace as an intern while attending the university.

ELKINS PROMOTED AT UNIGROUP


Gene Elkins has been named vice president of operations support at Fenton-based UniGroup Inc. He has more than 28 years of moving and storage industry experience and previously worked in business development for UniGroup.

MCBRIDE & SON ANNOUNCES LEADERSHIP CHANGES

At McBride & Son Enterprises, Rick Sullivan, John Eilermann and Ted Dettmer have been promoted to new leadership positions, effective Jan. 1, 2006. Sullivan has been serving as both chairman of the board and chief executive and will move full time into his role as chairman. Sullivan joined the company in 1973 and has been CEO since 1991.

Eilermann is currently president of McBride & Son Homes and will move into the role of CEO. He joined the company in 1986 and was named president of the McBride & Son Homes division in 1998.

Ted Dettmer has been named president of the company’s largest division, McBride & Son Homes. Dettmer started at McBride more than 28 years ago as a crew carpenter and worked his way up through the ranks. In 1993, he formed McBride’s subsidiary, Vantage Homes, and will continue to serve as its president.

CORRIGAN RECEIVES HIGHEST HONOR FROM LAW SCHOOL
