Michael Holmes has been named chief human resources officer and senior vice president at Express Scripts. In his most recent position, he served as principal and chief human resources officer at Edward Jones.

COCA ANNOUNCES NEW DIRECTOR OF GALLERY AND VISUAL ARTS PROGRAMS

Belinda Lee, an arts administrator and award-winning artist, has joined COCA as director of gallery and visual arts programs at the Millstone Gallery. For the past eight years, she has been a faculty member and administrator at the Sam Fox School of Design and Visual Art at Washington University.

St. Louis Community College Chancellor Henry Shannon will serve in the primary leadership position of two international community college organizations this year. In January, Shannon began a one-year term as chairman of the League for Innovation in the Community College Board of Directors. He also will serve as president-elect of Renewal and Change 2000, a membership federation of community colleges and multicampus systems serving international urban cities. He will begin a two-year term as president of the federation in January 2007.

THOMPSON COBURN ANNOUNCES THREE NEW PARTNER

Matthew S. Darrough, David B. Jinkins and Susan L. Werstak have been named partners at Thompson Coburn. Darrough is a member of the firm’s business litigation and appellate practices. He is a former clerk to the Honorable Clifford H. Ahrens of the Missouri Court of Appeals, Eastern District. Jinkins is a member of the firm’s intellectual property practice. Werstak works in the firm’s tobacco litigation practice and has represented most of the major cigarette manufacturers.

ROBNETT NAMED PRESIDENT OF COMMUNITY ASSET MANAGEMENT COMPANY

George Robnett Jr. has been named president of the Community Asset Management Company. He previously served as the executive director of the Garden District Commission, the group responsible for the revitalization and stabilization of the four neighborhoods that surround Missouri Botanical Garden.

Four accountants have been promoted at Brown Smith Wallace. Kelly Weis has been promoted to principal in the firm’s audit group. She brings more than 14 years of auditing, accounting and corporate taxation experience to her new role. Robin Bell, Jim Schwartz and Ted Flom have been named members. Bell has 20 years of experience as a tax advisor and specializes in serving privately owned businesses. Schwartz has 18 years of experience in public accounting and industry. Flom is a co-leader of the firm’s risk management services practice.

Spizzo brings more than 20 years of experience in regional economic development to his new role as Leadership Council’s executive director.

As Leadership Council’s executive director, Spizzo will be responsible for identifying and mobilizing leaders in business, industry, labor, education and government, and building effective partnerships to address regional economic development issues. He is filling the position vacated by James Pennekamp, who left the Leadership Council in December after 16 years at the helm of the organization to accept a newly created regional position at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, where he is now serving as special assistant to the chancellor for regional economic development and executive director of University Park.
