INTERNATIONAL INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE AND
DESIGN MAGAZINE FEATURES THE LAWRENCE GROUP'S DESIGN FOR SCHUPP
CO.
St. Louis-based Schupp Company Inc., a national advertising, marketing
and promotions agency, has received attention for its newly completed
office space in the112-year-old Mississippi Valley Trust Co. building.
The Lawrence Group designed the space to accentuate the architecture
of the former bank building, which includes marble finishes and
a coffered ceiling.
Frame, an international magazine of interior architecture
and design, recognized The Lawrence Group design for Schupp Co.
in its January/February 2003 issue. The new space is described as
combining the ambience and strength of a financial institution with
the creative culture of the Schupp Co.
A particularly interesting feature is the stainless-steel reception
desk backed by an opaline glass wall, which displays the company’s
logo. The wall changes color with temperature fluctuations in the
office.
The Lawrence Group, St. Louis, under the direction of architect
Aleksandr Sasha Malinich, designed the new space for The Schupp
Co. The structure, designed by architects Eames and Young of St.
Louis, is a diminutive Beaux Arts building at the corner of Fourth
and Pine streets.
