Marriott
Appoints GM for Two Renaissance Hotels Adjacent to Convention Center

Brad Robinette, a 25-year veteran of Marriott International
Inc., is the general manager of the Renaissance St. Louis Suites
Hotel and the Renaissance Grand Hotel. Both are located adjacent
to St. Louis’ America’s Center, the nation’s 11th largest convention
facility.
Robinette began his hotel career as a bellman at a Marriott property
in Atlanta. Most recently he served as Marriott’s vice president
of market management in Colorado, with responsibility for 50 hotels.
The 165-room Renaissance St. Louis Suites Hotel opened in March.
When the Renaissance Grand Hotel opens in early 2003, it will boast
916 rooms. The two properties are historic hotels along Washington
Ave., operated by Marriott, and developed by Historic Restoration
Inc. in partnership with Kimberly-Clark Corp.
Boyer Becomes Agency Partner at Adamson

Adamson Inc. has named Kim Boyer as a partner in the advertising
and communications agency. The fifth current partner at Adamson,
Boyer joined the agency as a vice president/account supervisor in
1989. During the 12 years Boyer has been with Adamson, the agency
has grown from about $5 million in annual capitalized billings to
$48 million today.
Boyer has served as director of account management since December
1998. She became managing director of Adamson’s advertising division
in December 2000. Prior to joining Adamson, Boyer worked at Brewer/Young
& Rubicam and the former Kenrick Advertising of St. Louis.
Bachman and Taylor Fill Leadership Posts with United Way
The United Way of Greater St. Louis has announced two key leadership
positions for 2002. Andrew Taylor, president and CEO of Enterprise
Rent-A-Car is serving as chair of the St. Louis United Way Board
of Directors for a two-year term. Taylor, who was fund-raising campaign
chair in 1996, succeeds Craig Schnuck, chairman and CEO of
Schnuck Markets Inc.
John Bachmann, managing partner of Edward Jones, will serve
as chair of the 2002 United Way fund-raising campaign, succeeding
David Darnell, president of the Bank of America Central Banking
Group. Bachmann is a longtime United Way volunteer and was executive
vice chair of the 2001 fund-raising campaign.
Ameren Promotes Gillette to VP, Risk Management

The Ameren Corp. board of directors has elected Baxter Gillette
as vice president, risk management. Gillette has been vice president,
risk management for AmerenEnergy Inc. since he joined the company
in 1999. He came to Ameren after serving as a consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers.
MSPE Honors Hinkebein as Outstanding Engineer

Outstanding Engineer in Private Practice.
Keith Hinkebein, PE, of HNTB-St. Louis has been honored as
the “Outstanding Engineer in Private Practice” by the St. Louis
chapter of the Missouri Society of Professional Engineers (MSPE).
This distinction is awarded annually to a professional engineer
who has demonstrated exceptional credentials in activities related
to: education and registration; professional and technical societies;
civic and humanitarian organizations; technical publications/presentations;
and engineering achievement and awards.
Recently named a vice president, Hinkebein has guided the St. Louis
office to more than $14 million in sales in its first three years
of operation. Under his direction, the office has grown from a staff
of one to 30 and is involved in significant transportation and planning
projects in the region, including the $1 billion New Mississippi
River Bridge Project, for which he serves as project manager.
Hinkebein, who has 15 years of experience, is a member of the American
Society of Civil Engineer’s National Committee on Urban Transportation
and Transportation Planning and is a past president of the Transportation
Engineers of Metropolitan St. Louis.
MGA Honors Greg Nooney and McEagle Development

time well spent by the recipients.
The Missouri Growth Association (MGA), a trade organization of commercial
property owners, managers and developers, presented its annual Community
Betterment Awards to Greg Nooney, Jr. and McEagle Development.
The awards recognize contributions to the St. Louis area or to the
commercial property industry.
Nooney heads the Coldwell Banker Commercial company and has nearly
50 years of real estate experience and is perhaps the foremost statesman
in the commercial real estate field, according to MGA President
Douglas Pope. During his career, Nooney has been involved in the
development and leasing of more than 2.1 million square feet of
office space for industrial investors in the area, including the
Pierre Laclede Center, Interco Corporate Tower and the 500 Broadway
Building.
McEagle Development, the corporate MGA award recipient, was formed
as a full-service real estate development firm to complement its
construction management parent, Paric Corporation. The two companies
have served in a development capacity on more than 250 facilities
in the St. Louis region. Pope noted the Community Betterment Award
presented to McEagle recognized the company’s WingHaven project
in O’Fallon, Mo.
