unparalleled in healthcare.

superior custom service. Pictured is the main reception area where
guests are greeted then provided with a pager that alerts them when
a service specialist is ready. The main Reception Area serves as
a gateway to other TenetCare amenities.
Forest Park Hospital’s Centennial Pavilion is the site of the first
TenetCare facility in St. Louis (the only other location
currently is Kenner Regional Medical Center in Kenner, La.). Dedicated
in February by Mayor Francis Slay, Tenet Saint Louis CEO Phil Schaengold,
and other Tenet officials, TenetCare features such new amenities
as men’s and women’s lounges, Internet and technology centers, and
business centers—not services one would find in a typical hospital
environment.
At the ribbon cutting of the new facility, Schaengold stated, “TenetCare
is designed to provide our patients with, not only excellent diagnostic
treatment, but a level of personal attention that is unparalled
in healthcare.
“As our baby-boom generation continues to age and busy workers struggle
to find the time to access convenient and efficient healthcare services,
TenetCare will become the model for friendly, customer-centered
healthcare,” he concluded.

More than 325 children throughout the St. Louis area have been smiling
brighter thanks to free dental care provided to them during the
first Give Kids a Smile program in February. The two-day dental

its mission of treating underserved children’s dental needs as part

church groups and organizations gathered at the Downtown Dental
Clinic at 223 North 7th Street, where they were greeted by clowns;
Dr. Ted E. Bear, the mascot from the Greater St. Louis Dental Society;
and Delta Dental of Missouri’s Panda mascot and Tooth Wizard character.
Each child received preventative, restorative or major dental work,
goodie bags and watched videos on dental health.

and Access enlisted the services of more than 65 dental society
members of all specialties, along with 59 hygienists, 70 dental
assistants, 24 dental hygiene students and 127 non-dental volunteers
to provide more than $58,000 worth of dental care to children who
otherwise would not have received the care. Jeff Dalin, spokesperson
for the Greater St. Louis Dental Society notes that the committee

Kids a Smile will be held twice a year in order to serve even more
children.

Graybar Occupying Former Mastercard Offices at West Port
Above:
Robert A. Reynolds, Jr., Graybar Chairman, President and CEO
The grand opening of MasterCard’s new Global Technology and Operations
Headquarters at Winghaven last September capped off one of the region’s
largest and most productive economic development efforts of the
past decade. Now, another of St. Louis’ major headquarters companies
is expanding and will occupy MasterCard’s former offices in the
six-floor Centerpoint Building at West Port.
St. Louis-based Fortune 500 company Graybar Electric, the nation’s
largest distributor of electrical and comm./data equipment and supplies,
is establishing its Administrative Center in the Centerpoint Building.
This move allows Graybar to consolidate into one building its operations
that now occupy four different facilities in the metro area, as
well as accommodate the company’s continued growth.
“This investment will support our growth for the next 10 years,”
states Graybar Chairman, President and CEO Robert A. Reynolds, Jr.
“Our growth during the last several years and the centralization
of many of our purchasing and accounting functions demanded additional
space. We looked at several options in the St. Louis area and determined
that the facility in West Port best suited our current needs while
allowing for further growth.”
When the move is complete, Graybar will occupy four facilities in
the St. Louis metropolitan area: its corporate headquarters in Clayton,
the Centerpoint Administrative Center, the St. Louis district headquarters,
branch and counter at 8170 Lackland Road near I170 and the Collinsville,
Ill., branch. Graybar employs more than 900 people in the St. Louis
metropolitan area. |
