Welcome to the 2009 edition of Who’s Who, What’s What in St. Louis, the one-stop reference for business, civic and governmental leaders in the bi-state St. Louis region.
The Who’s Who section of St. Louis Commerce Magazine includes a compilation of who’s who in business and civic leadership in the region, including a look at the RCGA leadership—board members, council members, and economic development leaders.
The What’s What section provides a comprehensive digest of regional facts, figures, and a look at quality of life information and data about
St. Louis. The What’s What section of regional facts and figures also includes an insightful overview of the region, its population and demographics, its educational assets, its workforce business environment, along with real estate contacts and details about taxes and utilities.
This annual special edition of St. Louis Commerce Magazine, which is celebrating its 90th consecutive year of publication, also includes a fascinating look back in time at RCGA history and its predecessor institution, the St. Louis Chamber of Commerce, in the first of a 4-part series.
This issue also includes a snapshot of the St. Louis region’s 2009 Public Policy and Legislative Agenda, both in Missouri and Illinois for the business community. Plus, it includes a family tree of sorts, presenting the architecture of the RCGA and its various program areas that work to fulfill the mission of uniting and engaging the regional business community.
The design framework of this year’s Who’s Who, What’s What in St. Louis features a stylish black and white rendition of a number of the bi-state’s outstanding quality of life institutions as well.
This issue also includes a look at the 172nd RCGA annual dinner, which saluted this year’s Right Arm St. Louis Award winner John Bachmann, senior partner at Edward Jones. The dinner included a look at navigating the challenges of the economy in 2009 by RCGA Chairman Bob Reynolds, Graybar Electric Chairman, President and CEO and also included a performance by an ensemble from the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra.
We hope you enjoy reading this issue of St. Louis Commerce Magazine and find it useful throughout the year as a reference document. As always, we want to know what you think. Please send your comments and suggestions to us at dfleming@stlrcga.org.
