SCHWARZE TO BE HONORED AT 2008 AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION HEART BALL

Dr. Martin Schwarze will be honored at the 2008 American Heart Association Heart Ball with the Hugh D. McCulloch Award on April 5, 2008, at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Clayton. Each year, the Greater St. Louis Division of the American Heart Association presents the Hugh D. McCulloch Award to an individual in the field of cardiology and/or neurology who symbolizes the integrity and values of the American Heart Association.

Schwarze is a clinical professor of medicine in the division of cardiology of Saint Louis University Hospitals, chief of cardiology at Des Peres Hospital in St. Louis, and medical director of the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program at Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital in St. Peters, Mo.

RAY NAMED PRESIDENT OF ENTERPRISE TRUST

Steven L. Ray has been named president of Enterprise Trust. An eight-year veteran of Enterprise Trust with more than 25 years in the industry, Ray has been leading Enterprise’s fiduciary trust operation for the past three years.

SHERMAN JOINS NATIONAL CITY

National City has announced that Thomas S. Sherman has joined the upper middle market banking group as a senior vice president.
He brings 20 years of commercial banking experience to his new role, most recently serving as senior vice president in U.S. Bank’s middle market lending group.

ST. ANTHONY’S NAMES NEW EXECUTIVE BOARD MEMBERS

St. Anthony’s Medical Center’s board of directors has elected a new executive board. New officers include David M. Sindelar, chairman; K. Dane Brooksher, first vice chair; Thomas F. Kutis III, second vice chair; John K. Pruellage, treasurer; Howard L. Chilcutt, secretary; Paul G. Lorenzini, officer; and Thomas H. Rockers, president.

POLSINELLI NAMES FOUR NEW SHAREHOLDERS

Polsinelli Shalton Flanigan Suelthaus PC has promoted Julia Gwinn Brncic, Robert S. Kenney and Bryan D. LeMoine to shareholders in its
St. Louis offices.

Healthcare attorney Joan B. Killgore has joined Polsinelli as a shareholder. She currently serves as an adjunct professor at Saint Louis University.

BLANC JOINS FIRST BANK

Alec Blanc has joined First Bank as senior vice president and group manager for the bank’s healthcare and senior housing finance division. Blanc has 20 years of banking experience and previously worked at US Bank, where he managed the healthcare division.

HEMPSTEAD APPOINTED MANAGING DIRECTOR OF THE HEMPSTEAD GROUP

Northwestern Mutual Financial Network has named Gerard Hempstead managing director of the Hempstead District Network Office. He joined Northwestern Mutual in 1995.

Nations and Diehl bring a collective 35 years of government relations and public finance experience to their new roles. Both attorneys worked in private practice together in Chesterfield, Mo., before joining Armstrong Teasdale.

KRANISKY NAMED GLOBAL BUSINESS PERSON OF THE YEAR

The World Trade Center St. Louis recently named Michael Kranisky, president of UniGroup Worldwide Inc., as the Global Business Person of the Year for his exceptional contributions to international business.

THE VANDIVER GROUP PROMOTES BRADLEY AND LIKES

At The Vandiver Group, Mack A. Bradley and Andrew Likes have been promoted to executive vice president and senior team leader, respectively.

Bradley joined the firm in 1996 and has 15 years of experience in public affairs and strategic communications.

Likes joined the firm in January 2006 with 10 years of experience in broadcast journalism. He heads the firm’s media practice area.

FIFTH THIRD BANK NAMES FOSTER VP AND TEAM LEAD

Fifth Third Bank St. Louis announced that Bruce Forster has been appointed vice president and team lead of its business banking group. He previously served as vice president of the commercial and industrial group at Heartland Bank and is a former vice president of the commercial industrial group for First Bank.

IMPACT GROUP HIRES VP, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

IMPACT Group has announced that Tony Lombardi has joined the firm as the vice president, business development. Prior to joining IMPACT Group Lombardi was Director of Healthcare Sales, at Kronos Incorporated.

WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY NAMES NEW EXECUTIVE
VICE CHANCELLOR FOR ADMINISTRATION

Henry S. Webber, vice president for community and government affairs at the University of Chicago, has been named executive vice chancellor for administration at Washington University. He has worked at the University of Chicago for the past 21 years.
