NEW ANALYSIS
SETS STAGE FOR NEAR AND LONG TERM "HUMAN CAPITAL AGENDA"
At a time when regions throughout the nation are working to attract
and retain talent, the St. Louis region already has many inherent—and
increasingly important—strengths that make it very competitive in
the global economy. This is one of the key findings in the just-completed
10-month diagnostic analysis by Pepperdine University Davenport
Fellow and national journalist Joel Kotkin, titled, “The Corps of
Rediscovery: St. Louis in the 21st Century.”
The report—which includes insights from over 200 community residents—suggests
that our region has a historical opportunity to leverage several
interconnected issues: boosting entrepreneurship, retaining and
attracting talent, and enhancing our quality of life.
