pleasing and functional. St. Louis Commerce Magazine asked RCGA

Professional Office Environment Showroom Redesign
Location: 1 Metropolitan Square, St. Louis City
Interior Designer: Jennifer Jacobs & Kris McKenzie
Furniture Dealer & Local Representative: Poe, Larry Born
Size: 3,000 square feet
Completion Date: May 2000
Description: Professional Office Environments, a Haworth
dealership, increased their staff 50 percent within two years, quickly
outgrowing their existing floor plan. When evaluating their 8,000
square feet, the design departments major challenge was to
minimize workstation sizes and maximize usable workspace. Old drafting
tables were obsolete and using valuable real estate. Using computers
for drafting, the tables became storage space. Two solutions were
found. The first, install pivot tables that nest underneath work
surfaces. Additional work surface is available when needed, but
floor space is not wasted. The second addition was mobile easels.
Great for brainstorming ideas, privacy and storing project drawings.
