We are living in the life sciences century. Four of the country’s top biotechnology and business strategists will share their insights at an upcoming Biotechnology Forum “Opportunities for St. Louis, Your Company and YOU,” 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., June 6, in the Khorassan Ballroom at the Chase Park Plaza, sponsored by the Civic Entrepreneurs Organization.

CEO’s panel of experts for the 2002 Biotechnology Forum includes:

  • Arnold W. Donald, chairman & CEO of Merisant, the former NutraSweet division of Monsanto and managing director of venture capital fund Auxyn Biosciences, Inc.
  • Richard Karlgaard, publisher of Forbes magazine and founder of Garage.com, the world’s leading Web-based source of seed capital for technology start-up companies.
  • Richard W. Oliver, Ph.D., Adjunct Professor of Management at Vanderbilt University and author of The Coming Biotech Age: The Business of Bio-Materials and The Shape of Things to Come: 7 Imperatives for Winning in a New World of Business.
  • Walter H. Plosila, Ph.D., Vice President of Public Technology Management, for Battelle Memorial Institute. Dr. Plosila leads Battelle’s Technology Practice Partnership.
“CEO’s Economic Forecasts and Technology Forums have attracted more than 1,000 St. Louis region business leaders every year, because we bring together national experts in a format that is both informative and entertaining,” says William C. Finnie, managing director of the Business Consulting Group at Grace Advisors, Inc., and chairman of the event. “Panelists react to one another’s ideas in an off-the-cuff interaction producing an energy the audience responds to.”
