TODAY’S CAREGIVER HONORS ST. ANDREW’S CARING
WORKPLACE PROGRAM
St. Andrew’s At-Home Services has received a 2004 Caregiver Friendly Award from Today’s Caregiver magazine for its Caring Workplace program.
St. Andrew’s Caring Workplace program earned the award in the service category.
The award is designed to celebrate products, services, books and media created with the needs of caregivers in mind. St. Andrew’s Caring Workplace program is working with 12 local companies to test workable solutions for employees who double as caregivers. These models allow employees to provide quality care to their loved ones while remaining productive and committed employees.
“The average caregiver is responsible for over $40,000 in health related expenditures each year, in either personal or directed funds,” says Gary Barg, editor in chief of Today’s Caregiver. “This award is designed to help family caregivers recognize and reward those organizations who will care for them in as committed a manner as they care for their loved ones.”
