Infrastructure is an essential element of the region’s economic
development strategy. Transportation is consistently ranked as a
top issue that concerns both residents and business leaders in the
region. The Private Sector Infrastructure Council identifies the
transportation needs for our 16-county, bi-state region and supports
the issues to fruition.
Composed of leaders from Civic Progress, the RBC and RCGA, the Private
Sector Infrastructure Council will concentrate over the next year
on promoting better accountability in the delivery of transportation
improvements, equity in funding for the St. Louis area, advocating
priority projects for the metropolitan area, and building on the
linkages between transportation and economic development.
