The Corporate Department of Blackwell Sanders Peper Martin LLP welcomes
Charles Saulsberry as a partner to its St. Louis office.
Prior to joining Blackwell Sanders, Saulsberry practiced at Thompson
Coburn as a partner in its St. Louis office, at Winston & Strawn
as a partner in its Chicago office, and most recently, at the St.
Louis firm of Blumenfeld, Kaplan & Sandweiss. Saulsberry has served
as underwriter’s counsel and bond counsel to The City of St. Louis,
and has represented Bank of America on several secured loan and
public finance transactions. He also serves as counsel to the State
of Missouri on its Urban Enterprise Loan program.
Blackwell Sanders Peper Martin, a commercial-based law firm with
300 attorneys, has offices in St. Louis, Kansas City and Springfield,
Mo.; Overland Park, Kan.; Omaha, Neb.; Edwardsville, Ill.; Washington,

Tripos
Inc., a provider of drug discovery chemistry, discovery software
and enterprise informatics, has named Elizabeth Holbrook as vice
president of sales and Dr. Deepak Thakkar as vice president of marketing.
Both will report to the company’s senior vice president and chief
commercial officer, Douglas Danne.
Holbrook most recently held U.S. and European sales management positions
with Affymetrix Inc. and Ciphergen BioSystems Inc.; two pioneers
in creating breakthrough tools that are driving the genomic innovation.
She also held U.S. sales, marketing and channel management positions
with Life Technologies Inc., before its acquisition by Invitrogen
Inc.
Before joining Tripos, Thakkar was senior director of marketing
for California-based Silicon Genetics, a provider of software solutions
for gene and protein informatics. Throughout his career, Thakkar
also held a variety of senior marketing, product development and
business development positions at Genometrix Inc., Neomorphic Inc.,
and Rosetta Inpharmatics.

Alberici Constructors has promoted Thomas Taylor to vice president
of special projects, which includes areas of gaming, automotive
and general building. In addition, he will continue to serve as
a member of the board of directors for Hillsdale Building Materials
Inc. Taylor began his career with Alberici in 1987 as a field engineer
on the Robert A. Young Federal Building in downtown St. Louis.

Ameren Corp. has named Michael Menne as vice president of environmental,
safety and health. Menne joined the newly formed Environmental Services
Department of Union Electric Co., now doing business as AmerenUE,
in 1976. He became manager of Environmental Affairs in 1998 and
has served as manager of the Environmental, Safety and Health function
since 2000.

Jeffrey Jacobs, a 20-year hospitality industry veteran, has joined
the Adam’s Mark St. Louis hotel as general manager. Previously,
Jacobs served as executive director of food and beverage for the
Plaza Hotel in New York, and before that as executive assistant
manager of the Ritz-Carlton in Philadelphia. His career also includes
12 years of catering and food and beverage management with various
Marriott hotel properties.
The flagship property of Adam’s Mark Hotels & Resorts, the downtown
St. Louis hotel features 910 rooms, including 96 elegant suites,
and more than 76,000 square feet of meeting space.

St. Louis-based information technology solution company G. A. Sullivan
has appointed Mike Fraser as regional operations manager for the
company’s St. Louis, Mo. and Overland Park, Kan. locations. Fraser
joined G. A. Sullivan in March 2002. He brings more than 20 years
of IT and senior management experience in the professional services
industry to the company, including large corporate IT project management
and consulting.

Finance industry veteran Kent Reynolds became a member of the Midwest
BankCentre team as senior vice president of trust services. Reynolds
joined Midwest BankCentre following eight years with A.G. Edwards
& Sons Inc. as an investment banker and stock research analyst.
Prior to A.G. Edwards, he practiced corporate and securities law
with Bryan Cave LLP in St. Louis and Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe
and Hawkins, Delafield & Wood, both of New York.

Tenet Saint Louis appointed Michael Anaya, Sr. as chief operating
officer at SouthPointe Hospital. A native of New Mexico, Anaya was
most recently CEO at Dundy County Health System in Benkelman, Neb.
Prior to that, he served the U.S. Navy for 21 years in a variety
of health care positions, including chief financial officer of a
naval hospital in Sigonella, Italy.
A.G. EDWARDS CEO ELECTED TO BOARD OF SECURITIES
INDUSTRY ASSOCIATION
Securities industry executives have elected Robert Bagby, chairman
and chief executive officer of A.G. Edwards & Sons Inc., to serve
on the board of directors of the Securities Industry Association
(SIA) for a three-year term, ending November 2005. Bagby has been
with A.G. Edwards for 27 years and was named chairman and CEO in
2000.

Lockwood Greene named Gary Minnick to assume the helm
as manager of the firm’s St. Louis office. He replaced Lenny Burns,
who moved to Lockwood Greene’s Atlanta operations center. Minnick
has been with Lockwood Greene since the St. Louis office opened
in 1997. In that time, the staff has grown from three to 70 professionals,
serving the firm’s engineering and construction business partners.
FIRST BANK APPOINTS TWO VICE PRESIDENTS
First Bank has appointed Harry Daw as vice president of the St.
Charles Commercial Lending Group and First Bank’s subsidiary FB
Commercial Finance Inc. has named Marian Kammerer as vice president.
Daw is responsible for soliciting commercial loans and account relationships
in St. Charles, Lincoln and Warren counties. The St. Charles Commercial
Lending Group is located at 10710 Veterans Memorial Parkway in Lake
St. Louis, Mo.
Kammerer, with 21 years of experience in commercial financing, will
serve as the senior underwriter for FB Commercial Finance. Established
in 1998, FB Commercial Finance is a wholly owned subsidiary, provides
asset-based lending to middle market manufacturing and distribution
companies.
