TALX FEATURED IN
HRO TODAY MAGAZINE
TALX Corporation, a St. Louis-based provider of payroll and human resource services, and its client Shell were featured in the September cover story of HRO Today magazine, a publication devoted to the human resources outsourcing industry.
According to “Shell’s Secret to HR Success,” by Russ Banham, Shell’s employee services department in Houston, Texas, has tried for the past decade to automate administrative functions like handling W-2s, unemployment claims and employment verification. TALX automated those functions and others so that employees can log on at work or at home and electronically receive their W-2s and pay information. Over the years, Shell has implemented four of TALX’s outsourcing services and is considering a fifth.
In the unemployment claims administration area, TALX has removed more than $4 million in claims liability for Shell and recovered more than $300,000 in state-charged errors annually. Shell’s past success with
outsourcing work to TALX has led to the possibility of automating the company’s required I-9 forms.
