BUZZ WESTFALL TO BE HONORED POSTHUMOUSLY FOR REGIONAL LEADERSHIP WITH RIGHT ARM OF ST. LOUIS AWARD The late St. Louis County Executive Buzz Westfall will be honored with the 29th Right Arm of St. Louis Award at the 167th RCGA Annual Dinner Meeting on Wednesday evening, January 14, at the Renaissance Grand Hotel. Buzz is being saluted for his tenacious leadership and exemplary commitment to a strong bi-state region throughout all of his 13 years as St. Louis county executive. The Right Arm of St. Louis is presented annually to a person or persons who have made outstanding contributions to the St. Louis region, presented last year to University of Missouri at St. Louis Chancellor Dr. Blanche Touhill. The theme of the Annual Dinner Meeting is “2004—Still Discovering St. Louis” because 2004 represents such a significant milestone in the St. Louis region’s rich history. The evening will feature a conversation with retired U.S. Senator Thomas Eagleton, partner with Thompson Coburn, and retired U.S. Senator John Danforth, partner with Bryan Cave LLP. Karen Foss of KSDK-TV will moderate the “civic con- versation.” The two former senators will present very unique, informative and interesting perspectives on the St. Louis region, how it has moved forward and where they see it going. The Annual Dinner Meeting will also include a salute to RCGA volunteers, including recognition of The Laclede Group Chairman, President and CEO Doug Yaeger’s continuing leadership as RCGA chairman.
