Following a five-month-long business recruitment initiative by the RCGA, Omnipoint Communications, a provider of advanced wireless services, announced it will expand into the St. Louis market, creating an initial 150 new jobs.
Omnipoint, with corporate offices in Cedar Knolls, N.J., will be based out of a 25,000-square-foot, multi-million dollar facility in the St. Louis area. Temporary offices are located at 12140 Woodcrest Executive Dr., in Creve Coeur.

And, with our pending merger with Voicestream Corporation, St. Louis will become an integral part of our national and international service area.” notes William Felkins, Omnipoint’s general manager for the St. Louis region. “We look to bring jobs, competition and unique digital wireless services to this region. The RCGA has been crucial in helping us fulfill those goals here in St. Louis.”
Omnipoint currently provides advanced wireless communications services in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Eastern Pennsylvania, Delaware, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Southern Florida, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and Maryland; it intends to provide those services in additional areas.
