Ronnie
Bryant
|
RCGA Senior Vice President of Economic Development Ronnie Bryant
was recently recruited as president of the Pittsburgh Regional
Alliance, the private, non-profit organization that promotes economic
development in the 10-county Pittsburgh region.
Bryant served the RCGA and the St. Louis region since he was recruited
from the Shreveport Chamber of Commerce in 1996. He assumed his
new post in late June. In his new role, Bryant is the highest-ranking
African-American in economic development in the nation.
Also, Steve Gilbert, senior vice president of New Economy
and Workforce Enhancement, accepted a position in his former hometown
of Tulsa as CEO of that region’s Workforce Investment Corporation;
the Board is affiliated with the Tulsa Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce.
In his time with the RCGA, Gilbert advanced the RCGA’s initiatives
in industry cluster development, as well as the RCGA’s workforce
enhancement and technology initiatives.
Active local and national searches are underway to fill both positions.
