The
Regional Business Council, made up of executives from major large-
to medium-size regional companies, is dedicated to increasing
the number of businesspersons involved in and investing in regional
growth.
EDS Works Collaboratively with Communities
The St. Louis Science Center, St. Louis Rams and Cooperating School
Districts are just a few organizations that share an important
connection with EDS, a company that believes community interest
and involvement is as important as profitability. Dulce Navarrete
Joiner, vice president EDS Missouri and Regional Business Council
member, is a 14-year member of this company that focuses on helping
the youth in the community, and improving education.
“EDS understands the importance of quality education, especially
in a rapidly changing, digital world,” Navarrete Joiner says.
“We use our strength as a technological leader and business partner
to positively impact schools and organizations.”
This year alone, EDS has provided six teachers with technology
grants up to $1,500, and allocated a grant to support the St.
Louis Science Center’s Cyberville Gallery. EDS is also collaborating
with Cooperating School Districts in support of their “Future
of Learning” Initiative. This effort promotes new and more effective
school, business and community partnerships. In addition, EDS
employees have made an impact through volunteerism. They are assisting
with the St. Louis Rams Community First Program, acting as career
role models, and providing technical assistance to area schools.
