Production Charges: Half-tone or copy change charges will
be billed to advertiser. Original photos and designs should be
scanned in position already on the disk. Black & White material
should be output on a high resolution printer, of not less than
600 dots per inch. Camera copy furnished from a "copier" or a
laser printer cannot be reproduced with quality if there are screened
areas of copy.
Printed on Web: Preferred - Negative film (right reading,
emulsion down): 133- to 150-line screen, one set progressive proofs
or one chromalin proof. Acceptable - Original artwork or glossy
photographs, pasteups, scotch prints, quality reproduction proofs.
Only Macintosh compatible disks are acceptable, and should be
accompanied by a color match or high resolution print out.
Spot-color: Add $300 to b/w rate for black and one additional
color, using four-color process (that is - yellow, magenta or
cyan). Advertiser must supply four pieces of film, even for a
spot color (black, plus three pieces of film of "spot" color).
Advertiser must supply a copy of the ad made from the film provided,
OR a previously printed piece from that film marked as "Copy"
for the issue. To match a PMS color or for gold, silver or bronze,
add $500 to b/w rate.
Positions: For specified positions other than covers,
add 10%. For covers on contract basis, add 20%. One time only
covers as available, add 25%. There are no commissions on position
premiums.
Bleeds: For bleed ads, add 10%.
Commissions: A 15% commission paid on space only to recognized
agencies. Spot-color and position charges are not commissionable.
Net billing is only extended to advertising agencies accepting
financial liability for space cost. Advertising agency will be
eligible for commission only if magazine receives an insertion
order by reservation deadline. Net billing is only extended to

Discounts: All non-profit advertisers will receive a 10%
discount.
Inserts: Polybagged inserts quoted on request.
Copy Extensions: Copy deadline will be extended 48 hours
with approval from a St. Louis Commerce Magazine representative.
We will charge $50 per day for overdue copy after this extension.
Publisher reserves the right to reject ads that may be contrary
to our editorial focus or that use comparative advertising. Advertising
agencies responsible for submitting copy will forfeit commissions
if correct material is not received within 48 hours after art
deadline.
Make Goods: Publisher will offer full or partial make-goods
for errors within their control. Magazine will attempt to alert
advertiser of potential production problems. Magazine is not responsible
for poor reproduction resulting from improperly prepared art and
substitution of suitable art will incur a charge. Under no circumstances
will Magazine offer a make good for advertiser-related reproduction
errors.
Cancellations: Ads may be cancelled or changed up to reservation
deadline. Advertiser will be billed for full space cost if they
fail to get in copy or cancel ad after reservation deadline.
