Donna K. Martin has been promoted to senior vice president and chief human resources officer at Ameren Corporation, and she is the first woman in the company’s history to be named to a senior vice president position. Martin joined Ameren in May 2002 as vice president of human resources, and prior to that she worked at Faulding Pharmaceuticals as senior vice president of human resources.

Dr. Qaiser Jawaid has joined the SSM
St. Charles Clinic Medical Group as a physician in the gastroenterology department. Jawaid spent the past three years working as a staff gastroenterologist/hepatologist at Illiana Health Care System, Veteran Affairs Medical Center, in Danville, Ill. During that time, he also taught medical students and residents at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana.

The St. Louis chapter of the Society of Industrial and Office REALTORS recognized John J. Sheahan Jr. as 2004 SIOR of the Year at its annual awards luncheon. Sheahan received the honor for his work on membership development within the chapter and for his efforts to get St. Louis named as the host chapter for the SIOR 2007 Fall National Conference. The St. Louis Cardinals organization has announced that senior vice president/general manager Walt Jocketty and manager Tony
La Russa have each signed three-year contract extensions that will keep them with the team through 2007. Jocketty has been with the Cardinals since October 1994 and was named Major League Baseball’s Executive of the Year for 2004 by both The Sporting News and the Negro League Hall of Fame. La Russa has managed the Cardinals for the past nine seasons and led the team to five postseason appearances during that time.

The Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis has promoted four employees to new positions. William M. Francis Jr. has been promoted to assistant vice president and will oversee the security and protection functions for the St. Louis Fed and its branches in Louisville, Little Rock and Memphis. James A. Price has been named assistant vice president and will supervise building and support services for the bank’s Eighth District. Glenda J. Wilson has been promoted to assistant vice president and will supervise community affairs. Timothy J. Yeager has been promoted to officer and will oversee the supervisory policy analysis unit of the banking and supervision division.

The distinction is given to physicians who identify opportunities to improve patient care and then work with Primaris to accomplish those goals. He is one of only 20 physicians in Missouri and one of only two physicians in the
