MERCURIO NAMED 2004 CAMPAIGN CHAIRWOMAN FOR UNITED WAY

Patricia Mercurio, president of Bank of America– St. Louis, has been named the 2004 campaign chairwoman for United Way of Greater St. Louis. Mercurio, who is the first woman to lead its annual fund-raising campaign, chaired the organization’s Women’s Leadership Giving Initiative for the past two years, raising a record $4 million in 2003.

A native of St. Louis, Mercurio is responsible for coordinating and integrating all products and services in Missouri at Bank of America. She serves as the senior banking executive for community and civic activities in the market.

DUNHAM JOINS MIDWEST BANKCENTRE AS SENIOR VP

Jan Dunham has joined Midwest BankCentre as senior vice president for the St. Charles Region. Dunham has 25 years of banking experience, and most recently she served as vice president of the U.S. Bank Private Client Group in St. Charles County.

COX JOINS ASCENT CORP. AS SENIOR VP AND COO

Timothy A. “Andy” Cox has joined Ascent Corp. in the newly created position of senior vice president and chief operating officer. Prior to joining Ascent Corp., Cox served as senior director of call center and sales applications at Express Scripts. He also worked for 11 years at Bridge Information Systems Inc.

Ronald McDonald Charities of Metro St. Louis Inc. recently elected new officers and added five members to its board of directors for 2004: Kevin Lorenz, attorney at McMahon, Berger, Hanna, Linihan, Cody & McCarthy; John Meara, private money manager at Argent Capital; Tammie Meyer, field service manager for McDonald’s Corporation; Jacque Phillips, owner of Accu-Care Home Nurses Inc.; and John O’Shea, attorney at Suelthaus & Walsh, P.C.

SCHNUCK ELECTED PRESIDENT OF BOTANICAL GARDEN BOARD; THOMAS RECEIVES HENRY SHAW MEDAL

Scott Schnuck, president and chief operating officer of Schnuck Markets Inc., was elected president of the Missouri Botanical Garden Board of Trustees at the Feb. 18 annual meeting. Schnuck served as first vice president of the Garden’s board of trustees since 2001 and as chairman of the finance committee. He is active in several local community organizations and is chairman-elect of the Regional Chamber and Growth Association (RCGA).

The Garden board also presented the Henry Shaw Medal to outgoing president Jack Thomas Jr. for his years of service and commitment. Thomas has served as president since 2001 and a trustee since 1990. Under his guidance, the Garden added the Sophia M. Sachs Butterfly House and Education Center, the Dana Brown Overnight Education Center at Shaw Nature Reserve, and the Commerce Bank Education Center near the Garden’s main campus.

KROEGER TO DIRECT LABOR RELATIONS AT AGC

The Associated General Contractors of St. Louis has named William “Bill” Kroeger as its new director of labor relations. He previously served as president of Kroeger Construction Co. for 25 years. Kroeger is a former president of the AGC and chaired the Construction Training and Advancement Foundation in 1999 and 2000.

ARMSTRONG TEASDALE ELECTS KIDD AND KLAHR PARTNERS



Anita M. Kidd and Robert D. Klahr have been named partners at the law firm of Armstrong Teasdale LLP. Kidd is a member of the firm’s litigation department, where she concentrates her practice in the areas of medical professional liability and asbestos litigation. Klahr is a member of the firm’s business services department and focuses his practice in the areas of public law and finance, municipal law and real estate.

IAHN AND BROPHY NAMED PRESIDENTS OF REAL ESTATE ORGANIZATIONS


Coldwell Banker Commercial CRA LLC’s Anita F. Iahn and Bruce J. Brophy, CCIM, RPA, have been elected to new leadership roles in local real estate organizations. Iahn, vice president of management for Coldwell Banker Commercial, has been named the 2004 president of the Building Owners & Managers Association of St. Louis. Brophy, a principal with Coldwell Banker Commercial, has been installed as president-elect of the St. Louis Association of Realtors’ Commercial Division.
