The
RCGA Joins in Wooing PeopleSupport.com to St.
Louis Region
A
Los Angeles-headquartered high-tech firm, PeopleSupport.com, recently
made the decision to expand its operations into the St. Louis region.
The RCGA and its area partners have been wooing this company since
August of last year, providing regional demographics and business
intelligence to company representatives. After PeopleSupport expressed
interest in finding an office in the City, the RCGA also facilitated
discussion between company representatives and City officials regarding
employee parking and permitting issues. In addition, Patrick McKeehan,
director of Business Development for the RCGA, visited PeopleSupport's
headquarters and met with their new Vice President of Global Operations
as part of a two-day marketing trip to Los Angeles.
PeopleSupport
has selected 555 Washington as the location for their new St.
Louis office and expects to begin operations by mid-year. They
have leased 29,000 square feet of office space to house up to
300 technology employees. The company, which provides "24 x 7
web-based solutions" for customers around the globe, is considered
to be a world leader in developing and implementing "e-commerce"
strategies for customers like CarParts.com, MGM and Time Warner.
