Meath Named
Executive Director of St. Louis ARC

Kathy
Meath has been named executive director for the St. Louis
Association for Retarded Citizens (ARC), a United Way agency that
provides developmental, residential, leisure, early intervention
and family support services to more than 3,000 St. Louisans with
developmental disabilities.
Meath
served the agency in a variety of capacities over the past 18
years, most notably as associate executive director and as director
of residential services.
Meath
has a master's degree in social work from the George Warren Brown
School of Social Work at Washington University and is a graduate
of CORO's Women in Leadership training. A board member of American
Network of Community Options and Resources (ANCOR) and a past
president of ANCOR's state chapter, Meath is active in legislative
activities on the state and local levels.
Applied
Food Biotechnology Appoints New Technology Business Manager

Luis Guerra,
MD/Ph.D, has been appointed the new technology business manager
for Applied Food Biotechnology, Inc., which manufactures premium
dog and cat food palatability enhancement technology.
In
the newly created position, Guerra is responsible for the expansion
of business opportunities outside the company's companion flavor
group. A graduate of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology
in Zurich, Switzerland, Guerra has extensive background in the
fermentation field. Applied Food Biotechnology is headquartered
in suburban St. Louis with additional offices in The Netherlands
and Singapore.
Ameren
Board Names VP, Engineering and Construction

The board
of Ameren Corporation (NYSE: AEE) has elected David A. Whiteley,
vice president, Engineering and Construction, Ameren Services.
Whiteley was previously the manager of Electrical Engineering
and Transmission Planning for the company, which serves 1.5 million
electrical customers and 300,000 natural gas customers in a 44,500-square-mile
area of Missouri and Illinois. He joined AmerenUE in 1978 as an
assistant engineer in System Planning.
Whiteley
has served on the Electric Power Research Institute Power System
Planning Advisory Council and presently serves as vice chairman
of the Adequacy Committee for the North American Electric Reliability
Council.
A native
of St. Louis, he earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, Ind.
and a master's degree in electrical engineering from the University
of MissouriRolla.
Virginia
Weldon Chairs Symphony
Virginia
V. Weldon, M.D., the retired senior vice president of public
policy for Monsanto Company, was selected as the first woman in
the 120-year history of the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra (SLSO)
to serve as chairman of the board. She has served the SLSO board
of trustees since 1992 and has been a member of its executive
committee since 1994.
At
Monsanto, Weldon served as an advisory director for the Monsanto
board of directors and as chairman on the Monsanto Public Policy
Institute. Following her retirement in 1998, she served as director
of the Center for the Study of American Business at Washington
University and was one of 18 individuals to serve on the President's
Committee of Advisors on Science and Technology.
"Virginia's
leadership has been instrumental in increasing our Symphony Fund
from $3.6 million to $6.6 million. She is a great fundraiser because
of her own generosity and her ability to articulate the importance
of the Symphony to our community," says SLSO President Don Roth.
Arcturis
Names Keil and Mueller Partners, Promotes Kueker

Julie
Keil and John Mueller were named partners at Arcturis,
an architectural firm that plans, creates and manages work environments.
Keil, a designer and senior project manager, has been with Arcturis
for 11 years. Mueller, who joined the firm two years ago, leads
the Arcturis architectural component.
Keil
and Mueller both lead current projects in Missouri and Illinois,
including Edward Jones, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Bridge Information
Systems, Union Planters and Unigraphics Solutions.
President,
Patricia Whitaker also announced the promotion of Becky
Kueker to vice president of Business Development for the firm.
Kueker
has been with Arcturis for 7 years and heads the marketing, public
relations and nation-wide business development efforts for the
firm.
Glenn Construction
Founder Installed as AGC of St. Louis President
James
W. Glenn, president of Glenn Construction Company, Inc., was
installed as president of the Associated General Contractors (AGC)
of St. Louis. He succeeds Thomas H. McLaughlin, president of Pinnacle
Contracting, Inc., who remains on the AGC board of directors.
Glenn
has more than 30 years of experience in the construction industry.
He founded his own company in 1989. He received his master's degree
in construction management from Pittsburgh State University, which
honored Glenn with the Meritorious Alumni Award in 1998.

AGC of St. Louis officers for the year 2000, which is the 50th
anniversary of the association, are: Senior Vice President, Mark

Primary
Network Names Schrager CFO

As the new
chief financial officer of Primary Network Holdings, Alan Schrager
is responsible for capital raising, investor relations and financial
reporting. He remains on the board of directors of Primary Network,
a data-centric communications provider to more than 60,000 commercial
and residential customers in the Midwest.
Prior
to joining Primary Network, Schrager was with U.S. Bancorp Libra,
an investment bank specializing in growth companies and capital
raising. He was a founding member of the Libra's New York Office,
where he was responsible for numerous private equity, mezzanine
and debt financings. Prior to U.S. Bancorp Libra, Schrager worked
in the high yield and leveraged finance area of UBS Securities
and at Chase Manhattan Bank.
He
has a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan and a
master's in business administration from the Wharton School at
the University of Pennsylvania.
Krey First
Woman to Receive Coro's Public Service Award

Mary Ann
Krey, chairman and CEO, Krey Distributing Company will be awarded
the John H. Poelker Public Service Award at the Coro Midwestern
Center's April 18 Thomas F. Latzer Dinner. Krey is the first woman
recipient of the award whose previous recipients have included
Dr. William Danforth, August A. Busch III, Lee Liberman, Clarence
Barksdale, Andrew Craig, William Cornelius, Martin Mathews, Father
Paul Reinert, Harry Morley, Bob Baer and Lawrence Roos.
Krey
was chosen for her deep commitment to public service and civic
leadership. She is Chairman of the Board of the Saint Louis Art
Museum Board of Trustees, Vice-Chairman of St. Louis Children's
Hospital, a member of the Washington University Board of Trustees
and was a Founding Chairman of United Way's Women's Leadership
Giving Initiative just to name a few of her community activities
and accomplishments.
The
award will be presented by Jan Newton, president, Missouri Division
of Southwestern Bell and Kimmy Brauer. Honorary event chair is
August A. Busch III.

Kathy Surratt-States
Named Principal at Ziercher &
Hocker, P.C.

announced that Kathy A. Surratt-States has been named a principal
in the firm. A member of the firm since 1998, her expertise fortifies
the firm's bankruptcy and commercial litigation practices.

1999, Surratt-States was appointed bankruptcy trustee in the high-profile
Family Company of America (National Supermarkets) Chapter 7 bankruptcy
case. She is a member of the Panel of Bankruptcy Trustees for
the Eastern District of Missouri. Surratt-States was co-chair
of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis bankruptcy section
last year, and is currently co-chair of the CLE Institute. She
also has held offices in the Mound City Bar Association. Surratt-States

the board of directors of the World Agricultural Forum. Established
in 1997, the St. Louis-based World Agricultural Forum is an independent
organization created to meet the urgent need for open debate and
discussion on providing food, fiber and fuel to the world's growing
population.

Forum brings together, in a biennial neutral global congress,
experts from business, academic, government and advocacy organization
sectors.

Nooney
Jr. Receives Lifetime Achievement Award
Gregory
J. Nooney, Jr., chairman of the St. Louis office of Coldwell
Banker Commercial American Spectrum, has received the Daniel F.
Sheehan Jr. Lifetime Achievement Award from the St. Louis Association
of Realtors, Commercial Division.
The
member-nominated award recognizes Nooney's leadership in the commercial
real estate industry on both the local and national level for
the past 45 years. As the director of Counselors of Real Estate
(CRE), Nooney is the past president of the St. Louis chapter of
the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) and past
chair of the Missouri Real Estate Commission.
The
award also recognizes Nooney's contributions to his community,
including work with the St. Louis RCGA. His former positions include
director of the Health and Welfare Council of Greater St. Louis,
director of the American Diabetes Association's Greater St. Louis
affiliate and chair of the Webster Groves City Plan Commission.
Nooney's
company currently manages a 12 million-square-foot portfolio at
$650 million. During his career, he has been involved in the development
and leasing of more than 1.75 million square feet of office space
for institutional investors in the St. Louis area.

The Clayton
Chamber of Commerce has named Robert H. Chapman, chairman
and chief executive officer of Barry-Wehmiller Companies, Inc.,
the 1999 Business Person of the Year. The Chamber also awarded
the Del Pietro family, owners of four restaurants in the area,
the 1999 Excellence in Retail Award. The Del Pietro family and
their Culinart Group own the family's namesake restaurant, Del
Pietro's and Portabella, Kilkenny's and Shitake.
"The
awards recognize and celebrate the achievements of Clayton's most
accomplished business persons," says Lisa O'Brien, the chamber's
executive director. "Our awards this year honor a successful CEO
and a hard-working family."
As
the CEO of Barry-Wehmiller since 1975, Chapman has overseen the
growth of the company to a size of $260 million in annual revenue.
