KRANER RECEIVES TWO WEALTH MANAGEMENT AWARDS

Stone Carlie Wealth Advisors LLC has announced that one of its senior members, Richard F. Kraner, has been named a FIVE STAR: Best in Client Satisfaction Wealth Manager for the second consecutive year by the FIVE STAR Best in Client Satisfaction program. He was also named among the ten most dependable wealth managers of the central U.S. by Goldline Research.

CAMPBELL APPOINTED INTERIM PRESIDENT AT STLCC-FOREST PARK

Zerrie D. Campbell, president emeritus of the City Colleges of Chicago’s Malcolm X College, has been named interim president at St. Louis Community College’s Forest Park campus.

Campbell oversees and evaluates operations and serves as an adviser to Chancellor Zelema Harris in the process of selecting a permanent replacement for Morris F. Johnson III, who left to pursue other opportunities.

SSM HEALTH CARE’S RYAN NAMED QUALITY PIONEER

Sister Mary Jean Ryan, president/CEO of SSM Health Care, is among five recipients of the American Productivity & Quality Center’s C. Jackson Grayson Distinguished Quality Pioneer Medal.

The award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated outstanding leadership in the application of quality philosophy, methods and tools in education, health care, public service and not-for-profit organizations. Ryan was honored for her outstanding work and leadership in dramatically driving quality and process improvement and policy in health care.

ZEHNDER NAMED EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF LCMS WORLD MISSION

Thomas R. Zehnder has been named the executive director of LCMS World Mission, the global gospel outreach arm of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. Zehnder has been serving as the ministry’s interim executive director since November 2008.

MINKLER NAMED CHAIRMAN OF AMD EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

Robert J. Minkler Jr., an accountant and partner in tax services at Anders Minkler & Diehl LLP, has been elected chairman of the AMD executive committee by his partners. He is the first chairman of the AMD Executive Committee, which was formed in 2004 to lead the firm’s operational and strategic initiatives.

SISTERS OFMERCY HEALTH SYSTEM PICKS NEW CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER

The Sisters of Mercy Health System has named Dr. Glenn Mitchell to the position of chief medical officer. He will retain his current position of vice president for clinical safety. Mitchell joined Mercy in 2007 as vice president of clinical safety.

HAMSHER TO CHAIR UNITED WAY SMALL BUSINESS FOR 2009

United Way of Greater St. Louis has named Frank Hamsher as the 2009 chair of United Way Small Business. Hamsher is an independent public policy and communications consultant. New in 2009, United Way Small Business has been formed to encourage and recognize small businesses and proprietors who value the importance of philanthropy and who support the work of the United Way of Greater St. Louis.

KWMU REPORTER HONORED WITH EDWARD R. MURROW AWARD

The Radio and Television News Directors Association has honored KWMU reporter Adam Allington with a 2009 National Edward R. Murrow Award for his three-part series titled “Gangs of North St. Louis.“ Allington will receive his award at a Radio and Television News Directors Association dinner this October in New York.

In April, Allington received two Regional Edward R. Murrow Awards, one for his story “Old School Wrestling” and the other for “Gangs of North St. Louis.” Allington’s achievements earned the station its first national Murrow Award since 1996.

ANDY WARHOL FOUNDATION AWARDS GRANT TO CONTEMPORARY ART MUSEUM’S CHIEF CURATOR

The Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis is pleased to announce that chief curator Anthony Huberman has received a Curatorial Fellowship Grant from The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts. The grant will support research for an upcoming exhibition titled “For the blind man in the dark room looking for the black cat that isn’t there,” scheduled to display from Sept. 11, 2009, through Jan. 3, 2010.

ADVANCED ICU CARE APPOINTS WEBB AS CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Advanced ICU Care has appointed Doug Webb as chief financial officer. Previously, he served as chief financial officer and senior vice president of finance and information technology for PICA Group, a professional liability insurer.
